Hello,
I just got myself brand new HP Envy 17t laptop. According to the specifications it has "Intel RealSense(TM) 3D Camera with Dual Digital Microphone". The operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64. The microphone is simply not working. Out of the box, there were 2 mics in Recording Devices menu (don't remember the names). I tried setting the Levels and Boost to the maximum, made sure the device was a default one, but when I speak no green bars appear. If I snap my fingers close to the camera, I may see 1-2 bars sometimes.
I then tried to download the latest Realtek High definition Audio drivers for Windows 10 from their official website. At first I tried the one called "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)", then "Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver (32/64bits) Driver only (Executable file)". I rebooted computer twice, but it didn't work.
I also have Bang & Olufsen management console. I made sure that the mic is selected and set to maximum level.
I then tried to contact one of your customer support representatives by chat. (S)He was not helpful at all. He connected to my computer, started refreshing my desktop, sorting shortcuts, joggling the windows, and then finally went to mic settings, selected "Listen to this device", asked me to say something, and after 10 minutes of not doing anything to solve my problem, I had to disconnect the session.
