Hello nsrtrft. I understand you need a Windows 8 driver for your Validity Fingerprint Scanner.
Try this driver and let me know if it works.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Hi,
Can you post back with the following details.
1. The full Model No. and Product No. of your notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.
2. The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ).
Regards,
DP-K

Hello Thomas, I see you are receiving an error code 43 message. I recommend trying the Microsoft Fix It, I will post a link below for you to run. I hope this helps, respond with the outcome if you would like!
Thank you

Hi Rainbow7000, thanks for the suggestion.
Mr FixIt did not solve my problem.
FixIt did discover that the "unknown device" is not working properly. It did also report that "hardware changes might not have been detected"
When looking at Fixit report, it says that there was discovered a problem on "unknown" device.
Are we looking at a HW problem??
