Had the same issue with an HP Elitebook 840 G1
Devicemanager & Windows said on startup: Missing USB-Device
Port_#0002.Hub_#0002
(no external USB-Devices connected).
The solution was a new installation of the USB3 drivers from HP drivers site (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5405097&swLangOid=18&swEnvOid=4060)
Interesting side-fact:
We are imaging our notebooks and the next device (same delivery-stack) had no issues with the drivers...
So maybe there was an error with the notebook component itself or an error from SCCM on installing the USB-drivers.
