My laptop won't turn on when I push the power button.

I have been using my HP ProBook 4530s for 3years now and this it the first time it creates a problem. My laptop cannot be switch on without connecting with its charger. The moment I plug out the charger it shuts down. The battery won't increase even though it is connected with its charger for hours. What could be the problem? Please help me

My laptop battery is built-in and I cannot remove, I have the same problem...

I too took out battery and held down start button for 30 seconds - hey presto!  All now works agin.  Thank you so much.

Try taking the laptop into a dark room. It might have a faint picture, and if it does, replace the screen.

Thanks v much for this, it helped me! One question though: does this mean time to get a new battery? I've had my HP laptop over 2 years but used with power cable mostly. Please advise.
