please tell us the model numbr of the laptop you have, remind us of all the troubleshooting steps you have tried to date, and why you feel like it is not a dead AC adapter, dead battery, bad dc jack on the laptop, do you get any fan sounds or any lights on the keyboard or anywhere on the laptop particularly around the dc jack.
the more info you provide us forum folks,,,the better we might help. forget about getting any kinda help from HP.
how old is your PC too?

if the light by charge point is out you need to verify that the ac adapter is working ...use a multimeter to probe the end to see that it has DC voltage or find a working ac adapter with same plug configuration and use it to see if it will power up the laptop. post back with results.

good to know. so it the little led next to the power jack should come on then. possibly you have a faulty dc jack but would like others to offer an opinion too.
the other low likelihood possibility is that your video chip connections are lost due to overheating of the motherboard. have you noticed any abnormal hot conditions while using the laptop last and you didnot run teh laptop with the cooling vents inadvertently blocked have you? have you tried blowing out the cooling vents recently with a can of compressed air?
any thing unusual about how it ran last time it worked--did it seem to run very slow? if so,,a possible indication it was very hot in certain areas like either the cpu chip, the video chip or the ram!!

But yes sometimes the CPU usage turns to 100 and then back to normal!!

Juli P thanks for letting us know glad it was still in warranty when it failed. these HP laptops are poorly designed with regard to heat rejection. you were very fortunate that it failed early. now that its been fixed. I would recommended using one of those cooling pads below it with the fans that help draw more air thru the laptop to assist with cooling them. besides increasing its life....it may tend to run faster. just a suggestion. whatever caused the motherboard to fail the first time may still be present and hit you again. again thanks for for letting the rest of us know your cause of failure.
