Hello.

Our company is testing HPs systems, and before i can deploy this particular Folio i need to resolve a driver problem.

After applying our corp image, 2 unknown devices i am unable to get drivers installed remain.

hardware IDs of NXP6022

hardware IDs of NXP6100

These appear to be NXP proximity based smartcard reader?

In both instances, any driver i've tried to install results in a "The paramter is incorrect"

Event logs:

The driver package installation has failed.  The final status was 0x57.

Is there a sequence perhaps to install this device driver i've overlooked?

Are there any suggestions?

Thanks.

Help us to help you by posting the following information.

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook - see This HP web document if you don't how to locate the model number and\or product number.

To provide identification of the device you are having trouble with, it would help greatly if you provided the PCI\VEN hardware ids. The following image shows the properties window of a graphics adapter, but is a useful example to find  the hardware ids of any device in a notebook. Right click on any device, select Properties and then click on the the Details tab. Use the dropdown arrow to display the hardware ids

THanks for the quick response.

Product name: HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1

Product number: F2R72UT#ABA

I know what you are asking for, but there is no more information for  PCI\VEN hardware ids other than this:

Unknown Device 1:

ACPI\NXP6022

I noticed that the driver_Files in the extracted contents contains a driectory for Win8.1 only.

We running Win7.

Also, if i try to launch the .exe manually, we get this:

Hi:

I guess Eric is offline.  I have him the right driver to give to you.

However, I imagine you would like to get this matter resolved as soon as practicable.

This is the one you need.  I disassembled it and the hardware ID's are present in the setup information file.

Hi Again.
This issue is still unresolved for me.

I was hopping some of the experts here may have some further suggestions for me to try.

Thanks.

Hi:

Did you try manually installing the driver?

If so, unfortunately, I won't be able to help any further, because the last driver I posted supports the hardware ID's you posted and here is the proof...as far ask I can see, that is the driver you need...

From the driver files PCSC folder...

Thanks, yes I have tried to install the drivers manually, many times.

Just a final thought on this, but Is there some software/application that needs to be installed first or with the driver suite?
