Hello all. This seems to be a great topic with a wealth of great and helpful information and was wondering if I could get some assistance with 7 Drivers for the following on a new M6-1205dx (do not care for 8 at all) any and all help appreciated:
Ethernet Controller: PCI\VEN10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_18a6103C&REV_0A
Network Controller: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1838103c&REV_01
PCI Device: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5289&SUBSYS_18A6103C&REV_01
SM Bus Controller: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B&SUBSYS_18A6103C&REV_14
USB Controller: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7812&SUBSYS_18A6103C&REV_03
Unknown Device: ACPI\HPQ0004
Unknown Device: USB_VID_138A&PID_0018&REV_0078

Hi, Haunter13:
First install the AMD chipset driver and reboot. First download listed is what you want.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx#2
Then all of the W7 x64 drivers from this related model should work on yours.
Install the graphics driver second and reboot.
Install the audio driver third and reboot.
For the following hardware ID's...from the above support and driver page you need:
Ethernet Controller: PCI\VEN10EC&DEV_8168
Network Controller: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032
PCI Device: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5289
Unknown Device: ACPI\HPQ0004
Unknown Device: USB_VID_138A&PID_0018&REV_0078
If you use the fingerprint sensor, then you also need to install the software to work it.

Thank you so much for your help so far Paul. The amount of information you've given on this thread alone deserves commendation.
After trying these out and checking the device manager again it seems only the Network Controller didn't work (unfortunately for me). The other value's in the ID are all PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032 though they all end differently, not sure if any of the others would help at all

You're very welcome.
Glad to be of assistance.
This driver should work for you instead.

Man you have really done it, fully up and running at the moment. Had a slight little issue at first with connectivity (it was nerwork related) so if anyone has the same issue rebooting the router is a possible fix (worked for me eventually). Thanks to the help I got initially I didn't even have to keep wasting discs either as the usb port was working then
Many many thanks. Just have to remember to keep the extra driver stored on a backup drive somewhere in case of anything

You're very welcome.
Glad everything is working for you.
It would have been nice if Microsoft listened to their customers and allowed those of us without touch screen PC's to be able to check a box, or click on a link to enable a Windows 7-type desktop.
I have no problems with W8 except for that one thing.
The new W8 interface is too cumbersome to use with a mouse and keyboard.
It is great for a tablet, touch screen PC or windows phone.
I simply don't get what the big deal was to not include this feature.

You are 100% correct on that one for sure. As I played around with the OS I felt exactly the same. Can't help but feel they're going to lose a chunk of customers with the market of businesses, kind of ironic being a business that developed the thing

Hi, danilehp22:
I do not use fingerprint sensors, and therefore have no experience troubleshooting them.
Please see if this link is of help to you.
