Hi:
The drivers and software from this model at the link below should work on your HP Envy m6-1115tx.
There are no product specs listed for your notebook on the support and driver page, so you will have to know what graphics driver to install.
I can tell you this however...If your notebook has the AMD/Intel switchable graphics adapters, then you only install the AMD graphics driver which will install the drivers for both the Intel and AMD graphics adapters.
Do not install the Intel graphics adapter if you have the switchable graphics.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS LINK

hi again, thank you heaps for replying. most of the drivers worked.
3 of the 4 USB ports don't work though. i think it was the usb3 driver that didn't work.
could you help me find the right driver? Device manager doesn't show any uninstalled hardware

You're very welcome.
That's not good that 3 out of 4 of the USB ports don't work.
Since there are no ! marks in the device manager, you got all of the drivers to work.
Something else is the matter.
If the USB 3.0 driver wasn't installed, you would see a device needing drivers.
I would look in the device manager and scroll all the way down to the USB serial bus controllers section and see what is showing up there and click on the devices to see what their status reports.
Did you install the chipset installation utility driver?

Hi:
You will have to visit a few sites for drivers (and possibly have to modify one) for the m6-k088ca, but it should be possible to install W7 x64.
First, make the set of W8 recovery disks in case the downgrade doesn't work as expected or your friend wants to reinstall W8.
Second, read the info at the link below for changing a BIOS setting so W7 can be installed and to operate on that model.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03736054
After W7 is installed, download the AMD chipset driver and reboot. First file listed at the link below.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx#2
If running the chipset driver does not automatically install the usb 3.0 controllers then you will have to try a couple of things.
Read the thread below and try the alternate steps posted by me and NAP_CHL_IT.
After you get the USB 3.0 drivers installed, go to this link and run the AMD Radeon Driver Verification Tool, and it should direct you to the graphics driver you need.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx
Then, all of the rest of the drivers and software (except the graphics & wireless/bluetooth) from this model should work in the m6-k088ca.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS LINK
For the wireless and bluetooth...use these:

Hello Paul,
i´ve read nearly the whole thread and found many good hints. my envy 6 1100 sg is now running at win7 64bit. with your links in this thread i´ve found nearly all drivers. but one problem is still alive. the AMD Radeon HD 7600M (
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6840&SUBSYS_1897103C&REV_00 ) is still shown in the device manager with a yellow exclamation mark and the error code 43 that it is stopped. if i run simple games just as spider i get an errormessage like "your hardware acceleration is deactivated..."
do you have any suggestion how i can solve the problem?

Hi:
Your model envy 6-1100sg has the AMD/Intel switchable graphics.
It is very important that you only install this driver in order for the graphics to work correctly.
If you installed an Intel graphics driver, you must uninstall it and then install the driver below.
Never allow an updated Intel driver to install from HP or Windows Update, or the switchable graphics in your notebook will no longer work.
