I have a HP Envy m6-1103tx model laptop which defaultly came with windows 8 64bit. I have recently downgraded it from windows 8 to windows 7 64 bit. I am not able to get the compatible drivers. Especially these three devices:

HARDWARE ID:

  1. BTH\MS_BTHBRB
  2. BTH\MS_BTHPAN
  3. BTH\MS_RFCOMM

I would like stick to windows 7 rather than restoring back to windows 8. So kindly help me by giving the link to compatible drivers for these three devices and also to other drivers. thanks in advance.

Try if the following drivers would help:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58693.exe

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56715.exe

If these do not help, please provide the correct hardware ID. The information below seems to be not enough to find the drivers.

I am an HP employee.

Vidya

I couldn't find any solution given here in this forum useful to find my device drivers for the above said drivers. But thanks to god I got these drivers just by updating my windows 7 64 bit OS constanty and got the drivers to get installed. No bluetooth driver software given here is going to work.

So this the  solution:

  1. Scan for windows updates.
  2. Download and install them.
  3. Restart the computer.
  4. Go to Device Manager.
  5. Right click on the top mos PC Icon (ex: HP Notebook - Ur PC's Name) and select "scan for hardware  changes".
  6. Windows will automatically update the device driver for you.

Note: Make sure that you are connected to the internet through out the process.

This worked for me after 2 weeks of tiring search for the follwing drivers:

  1. BTH\MS_BTHBRB
  2. BTH\MS_BTHPAN
  3. BTH\MS_RFCOMM

Don't forget to click the KUDOS STAR if this solves ur problem.

Hi Vidya,

Good work providing feedback on this clearly common issue.

I have wasted HOURS trying to get a new bluetooth headset (JayBird / A2DP) to work with my HP ProBook 4520s. It recognises the device and appears to install drivers successfully. However, the device is thereafter not connecting.

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (SP1)

Any ideas please?

Fixed this problem. Eventually stumbled on a more recent driver update which for some reason isn't listed with a) HP support site for my device, or; b) the default windows update driver.

These companies really do underinvest in their support services and no wonder they are being left behind by the new, nimble firms like Google. Windows 8 is a prime example of desperate last ditch effort to hang on to market share but is doomed to failure.

FYI the driver which worked is: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/ScopedViewRedirect.aspx?updateid=ae92c3ac-eb35-4737-9d42...

All the best with resolving your stuff people...

Unfortunately this solution was short-lived and my bluetooth device failed to connect once again after a restart. If I try to retrace my steps to this solution it doesn't work!

Any ideas please?
