Using HP G60-235DX using 32 bit Vista. I have tried multiple adjustments but am unable to get a full screen video on a variety of different TV's when connecting with HDMI. The quality of both sound and picture is excellent but it just fills about half of the available screen. Could this be a problem with the video card? Is there a solution?

Thanks for any help.

This has to do with an issue of overscan.

  1. Right click on the Desktop and open Catalyst Control Center
  2. Switch to Advanced mode if you are not there already
  3. Click dropdown menu Graphics in the top right
  4. Select Desktops and Displays
  5. Right Click your currently activated display under ‘Please Select a Display’ on the bottom right
  6. Select Configure
  7. Click on the Scaling Options tab  and your there
  8. Now, just move the scale to the right (overscan) until you get full screen (in my case that was 0%)

Right clicking on the desktop doesn't give me a Catalyst Control Center option. I can however get to the Scaling Options by right clicking and choosing "Graphic Properties".  There I have a drop down menu with 3 options: "Center Image", "Scale Full Screen" & "Maintain Aspect Ratio". Scale Full Screen is selected but doesn't produce a full screen image on a connected TV.
