I did the system restore in safe mode. When the restore was done and it was booting up I got a message saying it can't install the programs because the computer is in safe mode, hit ok to restart to leave safe mode. I just keep getting that message.
Think it's time for me to take it in. Hopefully they can get it to come on

That is indeed strange. Entering safe mode the way I provided should only remain in safe mode for that one instance instead of every time the system starts. You should be able to undo the system restore. Among the restore points listed should be one marked to undo the restore that was done.
Sorry that it ended in a very unexpected way.

It's ok, thanks for helping and trying. It's under warranty anyways so it doesn't cost anything to get it fixed. But they couldn't fix it at future shop had to send it to HP. So I guess I messed it up real good

Sending the unit would fix the issue. I'm still puzzled as to why it would not leave safe mode after using the steps I provided. I guess that will have to remain a mystery.
