Morning,
My Notebook seems to have issues whenever it is being asked to anything even mildly intense. The main example is when a game is processing, the fan starts to work, and over the course of roughly a minute, gets louder. It well then randomly go into what can be best described as sleep/hibernation mode. I then have to press the power button, log in, and everything is left as it should be.
Checking task manager when it is doing this processing, the CPU is roughly at 50%, I would have thought this should be well under any limits.
It has done this since new, and is even worse when plugged in and not running on battery.
Is this some kind of failsafe if the notebook gets worked too hard? Or something else?
Thanks, James

PLease folllow these steps:
Ok first try opening BIOS by when the laptop turns on use the BIOS key (usually F12 or Delete if not try other function keys) in bios scroll through to the power options and check what speed your fans are on (Try changing all your fans to silent/slow mode)

Hi, I am using Windows 10 64-bit and is a HP Pavilion Notebook.
I have changed the fan settings to what you suggested, and it helps during the minor "low stress" processing, but the issue still exists when anything too stressful is asked of the machine.
Regards, James
