Dear wfejnieh2:

I am an amatuer like you as well. I have no computer training either.  What I have learned, I have learned on my own.  I do believe in prior posts I had stated to you that I knew nothing of AMT, and I didn't care what it did or why it existed. Just that I got the drivers installed for it in my device manager.

I am 60 years old, and I am retired from the United States Coast Guard, where I have held a couple of commanding officer positions during my career, so I think I know just a little bit about leadership too.

I don't understand why you have gone off on me like you have, so I will just say farewell at this point.

Paul

Dear Paul,

I am deeply sorry you took my message to you negatively.  I "ventilated" my frustrations finding information from HP  I thought you were a member of HP!  And, indeed you are!  A Vital Member Of Their Team!  Keep Up The Good Work, My Friend!

Kindest Regards, wfejnieh2

Hi, Michael:

For the first one you need the AMT driver.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12...

For the second one, Use the HECI driver that Vidya posted (the first link -  sp46137).

This one.

You can still order recovery disks for these machines for $10 if you live in the USA/Canada, call 1-800-334-5144.

You will need to provide the model number and serial number.

Hi, Max:

This should be the driver you need for that device.
