You have made a great choice with your HP 4320.
With regards to your issue - This is Probook and is a business class computer. Most business class notebooks (including yours Elitebook and Probook) have better security. They do not produce halt codes so entering wrong code 3 or more times won't help.
You will have to contact HP Business Support for assistance on removing the password.

HP Business support should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file and instructions which you can use to reset the password. The assistance from HP for such issues is usually free for business class computers.
