I also am facing the same situation on this new HP 250, (no Wireless connectivity) and is DISABLED in the Network Adapters console. I have downloaded the correct drivers (Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter) but still cannot ENABLE it. I am using Windows 7 Pro SP1 32bit.
Driver got updated when running Windows Updates.
How can I enable the wireless adapter?
Any assistance or advise will be highly appreciated and I have to deliver to customer tomorrow COB.
Thanks in advance.

Managed to SOLVE this by enabling the WLAN AUTO CONFIG service from disabled to Automatic and starting it. After this, did a scan and was able to pickup wireless Access Points.
Hope this assists anybody else out there facing the same issues on Win7.
Have no idea why this service was disabled in the first place!
