I did a clean load of Win7 x64, I loaded all the drivers and everything works ok, but it has this one "Other Devices": PCI Simple Communications Controller.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

You need to installdriver for Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver.

How to find latest driver for you specific model?

 

                  1. Click Support & Drivers link. (Upper part of this page.)

 

                  2. In search box type your laptop product number (p/n).

 

                      Resource:

                      How to Locate the Notebook p/n

 

                  3. Select Software & Driver Downloads.

 

                  4. Choose as your operating system Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit).

                  5. Latest drver version will be under Driver - Chipset category.

Hi

 

I bought my HP Pavilion g7-2247ez with a windows 8, used it several years until the HD crashed. As I my recovery backup was on the same HD I lost the windows 8 registration key and installed my older windows 7 lincence.

 

Produkct Number: C6H49EA

 

Except for the USB Controller I found and installed all drives. 

 

Missing: USB (Universal Serial Bus) - Controller:

 

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&SUBSYS_1842103C&REV_04
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&SUBSYS_1842103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&CC_0C0330
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&CC_0C03

The Drivers offered are only bor windows 8 and 8.1, none for windows 7. Nevertheless I installed the windows 8 drivers, but still the same message.

 

All alternative Driver programmes failed finding the necessary driver. Where does it get that driver from?
