HP Pavilion x360 14-cd1055cl
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone. I'm writing this forum today because I seem to be having a problem that is super common: the screen in the Pavilion popping out with normal use. (It appears that several dozen people have this same issue: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Pavilion-X360-Screen-Popping-O...). It happened to me as well. I've had my laptop for around two years, and while trying to use tablet mode the other day, the screen popped out and cracked in the lower right corner. I was shocked; I've used tablet mode countless times and never an issue. I've always been gentle with my laptop and I was incredibly upset to see this happen. I'm a college student and assumed a laptop that I paid $600 would last me at least four years, not only 2? The replacement cost, including labor, is hardly worth while when it's nearly the cost of a brand new laptop. I just thought I'd come onto this forum to see if there are any exceptions that can be made from HP, considering this is clearly a manufacturing defect that has happened to these laptops, for many people with normal usage. If there is nothing to be done except for the cost to be out of my pocket, I suppose my only option will be to purchase another brand of laptop that will not have this same issue. I'm saddened as I love this laptop and it's been the best I've ever had up until this week.  I've been extremely cautious with it but it gets worse even if I gently adjust the angle of my screen.
