Hi there. I need help please.
I am connecting my HP Envy to my Smart TV Grundig (Smart Interactive 3.0) but as soon as they connect, my laptop screen goes black and I can only hear the audio on the Smart TV but no picture whatsoever. I tried to connect my other laptop ASUS and it works perfectly well both audio and video, but I am wondering why this does not work with my HP Envy?
Thanks in advance

Hello @FIsnik34,
The notebook should have some drivers already. However, it is possible that your display drivers need to be updated, to work properly with the external monitor. Just click on the link provided in my previous post, and click the categories that say Graphics, BIOS, and Chipset, and update those drivers. If you need further assistance, you can review this document: Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers
As a side note, have you tried connecting any other external monitor to the notebook?

Hey there. Once more thanks for your efforts.
I downloaded all those drivers, but still the same problem remains.
I hate to say this but three times cheaper ASUS is proving to be much better than my expensive HP notebook.
it has to be a trick here with my laptop.
Anyways, sorry to lose your time sir.
Many thanks.

Hello @FIsnik34,
Hey, it is no problem to me. I am always happy to help. I just want to help you with your issue. If or when you get the chance, try connecting the notebook to a different external monitor. That way, you can narrow down if there is a compatibility issue with the notebook and the Smart TV. Or, if there is an issue with the notebook connecting to any external monitor.
Regards!
