I was using my Probook 440 G1 and suddenly it shut down.

After that it does not start up.

The battery power LED is blinking continuously.

I have taken the following actions:

1. Remove the battery and pressed power button 30+ seconds.

2. Tried without direct AC power (battery removed).

3. Removed and placed the RAM again.

4. Removed and placed the HDD again.

Nothing helped, the same happens - the LED blinks always.

Watch the blinking video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lElhaU0YqvA

** The laptop is very new. Purchased very recently and just started using it a couple of days ago. Never udated the bios.

Hi

Probably a hardware issue, may have to contact local technical assistance or HP

Is the system able to boot up with AC supply only with battery removed?

Try keeping it charged for 3 hours or so with battery & AC adapter plugged in the lap, and try powering it on again after that.

Hi

Did you make any recent hardware changes?
Any recent updates - BIOS or drivers?
How old is laptop & battery?

Any overheating issues- unusually warm air or hot back enclosure of laptop while using recently?

When was the last time you calibrated the battery?

I had the same problem with the same  model. Tried removing peripheral one at a time, and discovered that it was a keyboard which was faulty.

Hi Everyone,

I had the same problem with the same model. Try removing the peripherals one at a time.

For my case, I discovered that the keyboard was faulty

All the best......and if it solves your problem....please give kudos

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. My laptop was heating up for awhile. Not sure why. I'm still within the 1 year warranty. Please advise on what I should do. This is quite frustrating.

My battery always had the problem of saying it has 7 hours but would then crap out after 4 hours.
