Need Help!
Planning to upgrade my HP DV6 6140 TX RAM to 8 GB. I already have a 4 GB RAM in one slot and planning to buy another 4 GB for the other Slot. Below is my Stock RAM specs:-
Below is the link for the RAM which I am planning to order:-
Its have got 1600 MHz and 1.35 Volt, its manual says it has dual voltage which supports both 1.35 V and 1.5 V.
So the voltage i dont think will be an issue here. The only think am concerned about is the Speed which is 1600 MHz(Mine is 1333 MHz) . So please suggest will the kingstone RAM be compatible with my Laptop!
Any help is appreciated!!!

This is the specified memory in the Manual:
Memory modules (2, DDR3, 10600, 1333-MHz):
8 GB 634091-001 4 GB 621569-001
The laptop accepts only 1.5 volt memory but the DDR3L can operate at either 1.5 or 1.35 volts.
So maybe the DDR3L-1600 will work but I hate to advise mixing speeds and voltages.
This is the memory you really want:
This is the memory in your computer now. Notice it has 8 black blocks on the side of the module, not 4. You want to match the memory you have as closely as possible to get dual channel speed, which runs about 7-10% faster than single channel.

Kingston and Crucial try to shoehorn everyone into the memory they have the most of. That is the newest stuff.

Hello Huffer,
Thanks for the info!! The RAM suggested by you is not available in my region. I guess the below RAMs will best suit my laptop.
Please let me know which among the above will be the best option to go for!
Thanks!

I think any of them would work but I would go Hynix, then Samsung then Transcend. But you could safely choose among them based on price.
