I have compaq CQ58 with Ralink RT3290 wi-fi card and I can't find any network, other devices can conect with these networks without any problems.
Laptop has Windows 8.1 fuly updated together with latest drivers downloaded directly from Ralink page for wi-fi.
I tred to search solution on diferent forums and done falowing:
-disabled enabled network card,
-disabled enabled drivers for it,
-reinstaled drivers,
-roled back drivers
-delted theh installed network card
but no luck.
Do you have any idea?

Currently the problem I'm having with this adapter is not getting my full download speed. I'm suppose to be getting around 20Mbps but somehow I will be getting 1/4 of that download speed. The upload speed i think is unaffected. When I go to the device manager to uninstall the driver then restart, I will be able to get the full download speed. However, the laptop did not install the most recent driver which is 5.0.46.0 I believe. The laptop either install 5.0.29.(...) or 5.0.37.0 driver. When I go update the driver to the newest one, my download speed will drop to 1/4 of the full download speed and somehow the upload speed is unaffected. When I thought I fixed my download speed, later the day or tomorrow, my download speed will drop to 1/4 of the download speed again. I did nothing afterward to the adapter or the driver.
Also, when the weather gets a little hot, I found out that I get disconnected from the internet and the adapter disabled itself where I'm not able to enable it again. So, I have to restart the laptop to make the adapter to work again.
I'm not sure if there are softwares that is conflicting with the adapter, Windows 8.1 problem, or my adapter is starting to malfuction. My laptop is a couple months old and I'm already seeing problems already.
Laptop Specs:
HP ENVY 15z-j100 CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Windows 8.1
AMD A10-5750M
12GB RAM
Product Number: E1R45AV

Vdymytrov=Mouvdy was not able to log in to forum (probem was with AdBlock) and had to re-register 🙂
Well my symptoms where:
1. Very slow speed 0.5-3mbit using speed test. At the same time i tested with my mobile and other pc - speed was 17mbit
2. Slow connection to network.
Temporary solution was to delete drivers and reboot
You know, after previous post I am sure that the problem is due to the weather temperature.
In Paris for 3 days its about 22-24C pretty "cold" and my internet works super fast, did not reinstall driver or smth else
when it was 28-32C outside - my wifi worked at 1mbit speed.
Yesterday I called HP support and as my pc is still under the guaantee - they are sending my an other wifi chip (for free) to replace.
I asked them if possible not to send realtek rt3290 but other chip, support guy sad that he will try but no for sure.

@Vdymytrov
I fixed my slow internet problem, but not the internet connection problem. I found out that AppEx Networks Accelerator was checked in Wi-Fi Properties. So, I unchecked the box and my internet speed went back to normal. I think this application was installed when I install the latest AMD Catalyst Control Center.
Since I was able to fix my internet connection problem, I have to send my laptop in to HP service center which sucks for me since I will not be able to use my laptop to at least 1.5 weeks. 😞 Did had a bad experience with the service center with my previous laptop where the technician did a poor job in replacing the LCD monitor and had noticable scratch marks on my laptop from the repair. Hopefully, this time the technician does not scratch my laptop when replacing the wireless adapter.
