HP Pavilion 15-p231ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I just bought HP Pavilion 15-p231ax. I see the wireless device for this notebook is Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 b/g/n. How i can enable 'n' mode for this Network Card. I don't see an option to enable 'n' mode on wireles adapter configure.

I just see 3 option, 802.11 b, 802.11 g, 802.11 b/g. I already update driver from this site and another site, but i still can't see the option. I try to use Windows 8.1 , but I still have the problem. Can you help me, please?

Hi,

Your machine only has 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo:

that mean the "n" is not MIMO that may explain you can't see the option for this cheap card.

Please note: the next step may only cost you $10 more but many vendors still use cheaper version.

Regards.

Hi,

From my research, no restriction for HP laptops built after 2014, your machine was built sometimes in 2015 therefore you may be able to upgeade to dual band ac card. To be safe, please check the Maintenance and Service Guide (the first one, page 4) from the following link:
