as endofsilence said....its intergrated into a chip, firmfare.....read only. the only way to overcome this issue is to either replace the chip or replace the mobo.

Can you send to me this files plz ?

"

I called HP and told them that I did not have the password
They sent me a file named "hpreadid.exe"
I ran it in dos, and got information about the computer.
I sent the information back to HP, on email.
A few days later I received a new mail with a new file.
This file is called "sbapkey.exe"

Depending on what model hp laptop you have you can try clearing the CMOS battery or the CMOS jumper that should remove the password but if u have a embedded security chip in the mother board there is no way around it your best shot is contacting hp tech support to come up with a solution

HP will tell you to get a new motherboard.

the password is firmware, inbedded into the bios chip.

the only way around it is to replace the mobo or the chip.

its part of the security setup on this type of laptop
