I need to no how to facter reset a Compaq CQ58 laptop

Tapping f11 key as soon you power on laptop should take you to recovery console.

You can do factory reset from here.

If recovery partition is corrupted, you've to try recovery using HP Recovery USB that you should've created after first setup of this notebook
