Hello yousefkatino. I understand you are experiencing issues with your memory card reader. Please follow the troubleshooting in this document about troubleshooting memory card readers in Windows 8: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03453319
Please respond as soon as possible with the results of your troubleshooting. If you are unable to resolve the issue, the hardware is likely faulty. If so, please contact HP at the correct support number, based on your region, here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
If you are unsure of your warranty status, you can check here: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/wc/home?ac.admitted=1383763792097.876444892.199480...

I think AttackofZaq was referring to the entries you listed in your original question that he responded to.
"Looks like in the divice mngr. it is listed as:
PCMCIA Adapter
Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Cardbus Controller
PCMCIA and Flash memory devices
Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated Flash Media Controller"
Specifically the 2 entries starting with 'Texas Instruments"

Hi Gabrod1_86,
I understand your card reader is not working correctly on your HP G62-340US Notebook. Here is a document to download the drivers for the device.

So I installed the software and still nothing. I am wondering if it's because when my memory card won't fit/go in correctly to the slot. It still sticks out. It has been a while since I used it and I can't remember if it went in all the way and then clicked like in my camera or if did just stick out. Please let me know and if possible what I can do. I looked at the troubleshooting page and it wasn't very helpful either.

Hey Gabrod1_86,
Not all the HP computers include the same memory card reader. Check the specifications for your computer to know what kind of memory cards it reads.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00068354
The SD card does not fit in flush as you need to remove it after its read or finished with.
Hope that helps.
Thanks
