The system is now operating normally and your data should remain intact.

Overheating may occur if the cooling vents are blocked or the operating temperature exceed the specification. The notebook PC should return to normal operation once the situation is resolved.

Hi Miyo_Sullivan,

It is definitely a power issue of some sort from the sounds of it. Further troubleshooting would require physical testing of the hardware. At this point you are either talking to someone local or calling HP.

I see that you are having some overheating problems with your notebook. Here is an HP support document on Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating. What games are you experiencing this issue with? What is your product number?

Hi Miyo_Sullivan,

It does look like the notebook meets the minimum requirements for the game but just barely so that might be a factor. Here is an HP document on Improving System Performance without Adding Memory. You are using Windows 7 correct? Try running FIFA 14 after doing a Clean Boot this will ensure that there are no programs running in the background that could be causing the overheating issue.

Hi Miyo_Sullivan,

You can try using the UEFI Diagnostic Tools to see if there is a hardware issue. Run the System Test – Extensive Test which will check all the major components for a failure. Other then that you could try reapplying the thermal paste.

Hi Miyo_Sullivan,

At this point the based I suggest having some take a look at the notebook as there is nothing further I can off because it is looking like a hardware issue. You can either take it to a local technician or call HP but there would be a charge. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or start here if you live outside of North America.

Hello ,

Thanks for your suggestion .

sorry but can you please find me out what is my problem now for the last time ? . actually i've tried my notebook and play games without AC adapter and it's working like normally , no thermal shutdown but a very slow performance on games and then i've tried to play games without battery and the performance was very good , no lag but only 5min and as before just shutdown itself and when switch on "system temperature 90D" comes out again .

it seems like AC connector cause problem . isn't it ?

Thanks .
