Yes my elite book 840 G1 is also experiencing the hibernate issue.  It reverts to needing to be reboot.  My laptop is only 3 weeks old.  Not bad for £2k.  Issues already.  I purchased it so the start up time or hibnerate would be very short - ie similar to my mac air.   Why you dont get these issues on Apple products - we know very well.   I'd like the issue solved.

We are seeing this issue pop up in a corporate environment. Is there a fix available as the BIOS update does not repair this issue?

Would this doc refer to the issues we are seeing: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03453264.pdf

Current bios version (probook 840 G1) is 1.20 rev.A and has this ussue according to HP support.

HP should be working on a bios uodate to solve this issue - I was told by support.

Happens from time to time - and my only fix so far when the bios rapport this error is the remove and re-attach the battery.

Regards

Robert

Hi rum999,

I have the same white screen that you have: BIOS Identity Data Manual Recovery. Were you able to find a solution?

That link requires a computer or laptop and I can't even use mine
