I've had this Pavillion dv7-7025dx for three years. Never a power supply problem until now. Dog ate the original so I replaces it with an HP supply - same wattage, same voltage. Started getting the power supply error message and laptop would say "plugged in - not charging".

Did the hard reset - no good. Checked the bios. Mine is version f.29. The latest HP had to offer on their support web site was f.27. Really? Why?

Reset bios to defaults - no good. Uninstalled HP Quick Launch - no more error message and seems to be charging just fine.

I read the entire thread. Seems the post I'm replying to was written five years ago. Why hasn't HP recognized and fixed this problem? Why has HP not said what the cause is? I have had so many issies with HP support I'll not buy HP again.

DO YOU SEE THIS HP? WELL? DO YOU?
