there has been zero solutions to this problem that everyone seems to be having. I have done everything you suggested including replacing keyboard.
Can I have the number to hp support? I realize i had the replacement/recall cord. It burnt some parts of my computer inside. I have searched high and low and there has not been one solution to hp laptops windows 7 some keys stop working or either have a wrong character.
I already looked up Ny state consumer product laws and filed a complaint. This is bs. By the time you recalled the laptop cord it already overheated parts of my laptop and that is the only reason why there has been zero solution solved for peoples laptops most hp pavilions windows 7 to have certain keys to just stop working out of the blue or have a differenct character.
When I tried a new keyboard I was in shock to see how the inside was so burnt looking. Then it made sense because not only does the fan NEVER work but I purchased the hp g6 2169se in 2013 and both the computer and the cord would get so burning hot I ended up using an external fan that my laptop sits on for over a year now. I know sometimes this problem is connected to BIOS and the windows live screen keep popping up but I got a solution from a computer tech man..He solved that issue. I find it is weird that they both happened around the same time just about 2-3 months ago and it seems to be such a common problem . I am disabled and work from home. This is a problem. I wont purchase another $600 laptop because other than they keyboard it works great. I will lodge my formal complaint and normally it will fall under the attorney gernerals department and perhaps start a class action lawsuit.
Even the replacement cord still heats up. If you ask me the laptops made by hp around 2011-2013 hadve something called cool sense I think which was supposed to save energy and only run the fan when needed. It burnt the inside of my computer.

You give everyone the same response however KNOWN ISSUES FOR WINDOWS 7 AND KEYBOARD DOES NOT and I REPEAT DOES NOT give an option that everyone is having a problem with and that is:
SOME KEYS ON THE KEYBOARD STOPPED WORKING OR GIVE DIFFERENT CHARCACTERS...IT IS SUCH A MAH=JOR ISSUE THAT HP CANT RESOLVE IT SO THEY LEFT THAT OPTION OUT...
IT'S EITHER ALL KEYS DON'T WORK- EITHER REPLACE KEYBOARD, CLEAN IT OR REMOVE INTERNAL KEYBOARD AND THEN RELOAD
ONE KEY DOESN'T WORK-STICKY KEY
KEY GIVES DIFFERENT CHARACTER- CHANGE LANGUAGE
GET IT TOGETHTER ESPECIALLY IF YOUR AN EMPLOYEEE AND MILLIONS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. i AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS SPREAD THE WORD TO NEVER BUY AN HP LAPTOP BECAUSE IT'S MADE LIKE CRAP AND I HAVE ALL I NEED TO START A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. WHEN WE BUY A PRODUCT YOU HAVE TO KEEP YOUR TERMS OF SERVICE WHICH MEANS IT SHOULD WORK WITHOUT PROBLEMS. BEING THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR THE HP CORD RECALL- IT HAS OBVIOSLY AFFECTED THE INTERNAL LAPTOP ITSELF OR LACK OF FAN ALWAYS WORK. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH 3 HP'S THAT NEVER LASTED IN THE LAST 5 YEARS... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT OR I WILL...
