I understand that you purchased your notebook in May 20104, and for the last 2 weeks some of the keys are not working,

An employee in a computer store recommended to use a vacuum cleaner to get a possible dirt particle out. The compressed air had not worked. We did, and the vacuum cleaner swallowed the key. We retireved the key and after a little while were able to put it back on and it worked!
Thanks Sparkle for trying to help, but none of your suggestions worked.

Hi @dayakarvizag,
I see you had an issue with your keyboard, but you were able to resolve it. You would like to know if it will happen again.
It most likely was not hardware. If it does happen again and you are in warranty I would call HP care just so there is a record of the issue.
As the issue is resolved now, it is not likely they could do anything as it is already taken care of.

That is still a very bad thing to try. It is not worth the risk of bricking the notebook by corrupting the BIOS. That is what could easily happen.
I am a volunteer forum member. If my suggestion helped you solve your issue, help others by marking that post as the accepted solution. Say thanks by clicking on the Yes button next to the "was this reply helpful?"
