My split x2 charges both batterys to 100%, but when i use the laptop only battery 1 drains, so battey 2 (in the keyboard) drops to 0 the keyboard stops working and battery 1 still shows 90-100%. Is there a setting to make it run both batteries down equally. plus i dont get a low battery warning because when battery 2 is 100% and 1 is 0% it shows 50% battery life.
I have had this problem for years no one seems to be able to answer it. If you don't know don't just jump in and say something. Both batts check out as good.

Hi @Daar
Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether there is any to make it run both batteries down equally.
I’d love to help!
I would like to inform you that there is no such setting to make both the batteries run at the same time. When the tablet has docked the battery in the keyboard will be used and when you remove the screen and use it as a tablet the screen battery is used.
As you have mentioned that you have tested both the batteries and both the batteries are fine and you are not getting a low battery warning. I recommend you to follow below steps and check if it helps.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.
Here is how you do it.
Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”
Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”
Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.
Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”
Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
If the issue persists, I recommend you to update the bios from the below link.
Let me know how it goes and you have a good day ahead.
Take care!
Cheers!

Goodmorning,
So made the changes and the batteries seem to be working. Batt one is at 0 but the second one is headed down it is at 37 but all is working ie keyboard usb mouse. Also used to get a bell tinkle noise out of the speakers not doing that either. One other thing there were two of those drivers i removed both and both came back. They were named the same.
So I will let you know in a few days if this worked.
Thanks again
David

Nope did not work back to kicking me off the keyboard and mouse this time when batt 1 was down to only 17%. It seemed to coincide with the machine changing into batt saver mode.
When I was removing the ACPI thing there two copies of it could that be the problem?
Any other suggestions?
Thank David
