Hi, I have a workstation HP EliteBook 8760w and some time is giving me the problem you reboot randomly. I made a heatsink cleaning operation that resulted dirt and dust have changed the thermal paste between the heatsink and processor heatsink and graphics card. For about two weeks, I did not make me more the defect, now have some days that the problem has come back. I made a dell 'hardware test with a HP tool, and all devices have passed the test. The machine restart occurs sometimes just after loading the bios, sometimes after you started the operating system, then there are days when the problem does not occur and a day which occurs several times. What can it be ? Thanks in advance for your support.

I am assuming your system is out of warranty.  I would recommend to run the thermal monitoring utility to monitor thermals for CPU, graphics, .., and so on and monitor the fan speed. The monitoring may identify what's cauing the random reboot. Please aslo check the event viewer if there there is any events related to the random reboot.
