My laptops touch panel is not working. So now, i cannot switch on my wifi in my laptop.

Is there any alternate way (like drivers) to switch on the wifi in my laptop?

HI Michael,

If you go to the Control Panel, and select the "Network and Sharing Center" item, in the bottom left of the screen there should be a "HP Wireless Assistant" link in the "See Also" section. Click that, and it will allow you to enable the wireless adaptor. That may achieve what you need to do.

John

Hi John

I have the same problem. My touch panel suddenly stopped working. I have dv5t series laptop running windows Vista home premium. I opened the HP wireless assistant but the option to enable wifi and bluetooth is not enabled. Nor can I enable it through windows mobility centre. The enable button is disabled. Please could you let me know any way to fix the touch panel or enabled the wifi through some other method.

I am stuck with a cabled connection till then. Awaiting your response.

Thanks

Sumeet

Hey guys,

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. If a solution is found I would sincerely appreciate a message! Pretty unlucky to have this happen really... And it seems no software function is available to enble the wireless again, not even in the BIOS... All the other quicktouch buttons' functions are easy to use without the actually buttons, and there are even .exe files for most of them in the program files folder for QLB... but not wireless.

just remove the battery and wifi card from the laptop.

first i just check and start the laptop without battery and wifi card and all touch buttons except wifi works well which before didnt work.

then i insert the wifi card and attach the battery and now all touch buttons along with  wifi buttons works well.

good uck to every one
