Come on everyone, this is NOT something that stock Windows OS can help with. You need another piece of software which does NOT come with Windows so all those comments about control panel... please??

You need HP Wireless Assistant. Get it from HP's web site. Then click "TURN ON" and that will lit up the blue LED and enable the Wi Fi adapter. From there on the touch pad will work, tap with a finger to toggle ON or OFF the Wi Fi adapter:

Hi! @WeeWee1, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that you would like to disable touchscreen on your PC.

Please try few steps recommended below.

Go to Control Panel,
then Hardware and Sound,
then Pen and Touch,
Click Touch tab and unclick the box that says "Use your finger as an input device."

Let me know if this works!

Cheers! 🙂

But how did you connect to the HP Website without the internet?

You'll have to connect via ethernet cable to reach the internet to download

Just tried this option and the See also button is not highlighted and does not work.  The problem I keep having is I keep getting kicked off the Wifi.  All my equipment is less than a year old and I can get it to stay connected have to  run diagnostic sometimes serveral times before it will hold.  I have searched for updated drivers but it says everything is up to date.
