Hi,
GPU Switching utility(Configure switchable graphic) is installed on non-BACO machines and it will show which GPU is active at this time. also, you will see only supporting GPU utility active on that time. such as at the time Intel is active you will get Intel Graphic manager in system tray and when AMD(ATI) is active you see CCC iin the systemtray.
for a BACO machine, you cant see which one is active as both are active on need bases. if you want specific application to run on dGPU or iGPU, you can assign the application to power saver(iGPU) or high performance(dGPU) under Configure switchable graphic.
for more information, please have a look at
hope it helps.

But how do I know that the ATI GPU is running and not the Intel. The reason is that when I play SWTOR it is slower on my new HP with Radeon HD 7690 then my 3 year old model with older graphics. I beleive that it is a result of the ATI GPU not being active. And yes I set up SWTOR to High Performance on CCC options.

Hi,
As long as application is assigned to High performance, its going to work under dGPU(ATI) only.
now, i understand that you have BACO enabled computer. if you could share product information (model and product #) I think we will be in position to assist better.
if your computer HP Envy 14-2000 series, HP Pavilion dv6-6100 series and HP Pavilion dv7-6100 Series, you can update the BIOS and driver to make GPU fixed mode. that will let you know which GPU is active and OpenGL issue will be resolved too. link is below.

I have the newest HP dv7t Quad Edition with ATI Radeon 7690M 2gb. How do I upgrade the ATI Graphics drivers, there are none offered on HP driver list, and ATI website states unable to update due to hardware/software failure, contact manufacturer.

Hi,
this one does not have option to switch back(downgrade) to non-BACO. it has to be used with BACO. 😞

After exhausting searching on the internet the issue is HP has horrible tech support!!! Their drivers are old and not properly working, that is why its not working. HP needs to update their drivers which are very old. Very disappointed, never buying HP again.

Hello. Sorry to post here in your inquiry, but I have a question about the GPU too.
I have just purchased a hp envy dv6-7215nr with an nvidia geforce gt 630m.
however, when i type in the command "dxdiag", the "display" section shows no sign of the graphic card i have. instead of info about this nvidia card, it shows Intel HD 4000 Graphics.
When i checked in the control panel, the graphics' driver has already been installed.
On the taskbar, it is said that GPU activity is "None"
So can you please tell me what is this problem? How to solve it? thank you.
