Hi,

Go to:

Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Mouse and other pointing devices

click with right button of your mouse on ' Synaptics TouchPad ' and choose properties. Then go to ' Driver ' tab and post here driver version which you see there .

I posted a new thread a couple of days ago and someone told me to download

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-87233-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

and then reboot, when trying to install a message popped up saying something along the lines of me needing to run 64 bit something? i tried to install using recommended settings and restarted my computer anyway

I did all of that and it worked for a little bit but I am back to the same problem, sometimes the right side of my touchpad and the scroll bar does not work....

any help would be greatly appreciated and the Driver number is:15.0.18.0

thanks!

None of the above solutions have worked for me.  I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC which has Windows Vista which was upgraded to Windows 7 about a year ago with no issues.  I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 and now my scroll on the touch pad will not work.  My P/N is NU986UA#ABA

Thanks!!!

New driver of synaptics has this new feature where you can two finger-scroll Just like Apple Macbook.

you can change to one finger scroll in synaptics properties in control panel>>mouse properties (Old sckool method.) 🙂

My problem is not the two finger scroll.   I don't even have the option to change from 2 finger to 1 finger bc synaptics doesn't display that as an option.  I need the correct driver for my computer... P/N listed above.
