Hi, I have a hp envy m6 sleekbook model. anyways ever since I installed windows 8.1 fresh my touchpad wont work to a point. Ill install the driver and it works fine till I shutdown the laptop and restart it. Im pretty sure the driver is auto updating and not working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My model: HP ENVY m6-k010dx

Thank you for the quick reply!
Since you are able to use your TouchPad before restarting your computer, I recommend following this document on How to perform a clean boot in Windows. This should help
If the issue persists, I suggest restoring your system back to a restore point when you first installed the drivers for your TouchPad. To do this, please follow this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 😎.
Once you have restored your system back to when the TouchPad drivers were first installed, please follow this resource on how to Turn automatic updating on or off as well as Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 😎. This should help to disable automatic updates and check to see which software packages to download individually. Please install each update individually, taking note which update is causing a software incompatibility with your TouchPad.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

To further diagnose the touchpad on your notebook, I recommend following this document on Using and Troubleshooting the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 😎. This resource should help restore the functionality of your touchpad.
For additional assistance, I will need to know:
- If your computer has completed all of its important Windows Updates.
- If you have updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant.
- If this is an on-going, or recent issue.

Hi, I looked the link you posted and nothing worked, and i all my drivers are up to date, windows updates are good and this is a recent issue and its been this way ever since i did a fresh install of windows 8.1 so if you have any other solutions please tell me i really need this fixed
