Hello caste. I can not find a Windows 8 specific driver for this hardware. However, you can try using the Windows 7 driver in compatibility mode. Some users report success with this workaround. Try the following.
- Download the Windows 7 driver from here. Save it to your desktop.
- Run the download and allow it to extract but cancel the installation when it begins.
- Navigate to C:\swsetup\sp45629.
- Right click on setup.exe and select Properties.
- Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
- Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for..." and then select "Windows 7" from the drop down box.
- Also, make sure to check "Run this program as administrator" towards the bottom.
- Run setup.exe.
- After it is complete reboot your notebook and verify that this resolves the issue.
- Post the result.
I hope this information is helpful; I will keep an eye out for your reply. I hope you have a great day!

Try downloading, installing, and running HP Support Assistant. It may be able to locate a more appropriate driver for you. Let me know the result.
