VH2000:  Hey, that was a good find!  It updated my graphics driver from:

b.gif

to:

b new.gif

I ran the Intel "Driver & Report Assistant" several times, and it never updated the old driver.  It did update a couple other drivers (WiFi and another I forget,) though.

But, alas, after a reboot with the updated driver, Photoshop still crashes with Graphics Acceleration enabled...

Yes indeed
But I don't suggest looking elsewhere because with hp drivers it should work
They are not that old

Could there be a connection with what is said here?

"Need to add another graphics card to use photoshop, Was using photoshop till their recent update with 3D, now it crashes, photoshop says I need more GPU 2g"

Prométhée,  I don't think that's an issue.  The same version of Photoshop (until two days ago when it updated itself on my HP Spectre) on the same version of Win11 worked just fine on my MS Surface Pro 6 with non-Iris graphics.  It *may* be an issue if using 3D features on Photoshop (which are being removed from Photoshop,) but I'm not doing that.  Just creating a new blank document and drawing a rectangle on it will crash Photoshop if I try to apply a Smart Sharpen filter with Graphics Acceleration enabled.

I did just post on the Intel Product Support Forums about my issue.

Sorry, I think I've covered the subject here, I don't see what else to offer, if the software is up to date, and the drivers, ..
I would have to spend a lot more time looking, and since I don't know what exactly, it's not easy
There is a photoshop forum, I forget?

Thanks, again, for your help.

I've posted the issue (1) HP Support Community, (2) Intel support group, (3) Adobe support group, and (4) TabletPCReview forum.

Fingers crossed, *someone* will find a solution for this!

@Prométhée:

I'm back, but not for the hoped-for reason.  A new issue deserves its own discussion topic, but I'm bringing it up here in case the Photoshop issue plus this additional issue triggers any new ideas to pursue.

At the same time I've been dealing with Photoshop, I've also been dealing with Anker because a USB-C hub with HDMI 4k60Hz capability was only giving me 30hz.  (I tried an assortment of cables, including a brand new one advertised to support 4K60Hz.)

In the very beginning (before I even bought the Anker hub) I had been using a USB-C-to-DisplayPort cable and am 99% sure I had 60hz being sent to & displayed on my Dell P2415Q monitor.   As a part of my troubleshooting that, today I reconnected the USB-DP cable and now it only shows 30Hz (29.98Hz, actually, though I can change it to 30Hz).  I'd read that sometimes the two TB4 ports on the Spectre X360 14 don't both support the 60Hz, so I tried both ports, with lots of rebooting in between.

Just to eliminate the Dell monitor as the culprit, I reconnected my Microsoft Surface Pro 6 via DisplayPort, and sure enough, it shows 60Hz using the rather old Intel® UHD Graphics 620.

I'm considering doing yet another Windows Reset to check the USB-DP cable and start fresh with everything.  The last Reset, I didn't test the HDMI on the Anker hub, because I wanted to eliminate it as a factor in the Adobe troubleshooting.  Today, I got tired of not using my larger monitor and reconnected the Anker hub.

So:  With the Photoshop crashes & now the inability to send a 60Hz video signal from my Spectre X360 14, does that ring any new bells?

Do you think I simply have an HP lemon?  I still have until 11-Feb to return it, though I'd have to fly from Merida, Mexico to New York City (where I bought it at Best Buy) to do it.

HP Recommended

Sorry, I don't see the connection between the two
but having never tested this type of connection, I have no experience
I don't know in the end, if you have already reinstalled?
If it worked so far, a factory reset might be a good test.
If not better, and you still don't have a solution for photoshop as well, I advise you to get your money back before it's too late.
If this is not a problem for you, the trip, maybe it's time to stop wasting time with this model
unfortunately I have no other ideas.
