Hello,

I was wondering if I could upgrade my processor. I want to play Sims 3 and hopefully sims 4. I didn’t know if I should upgrade or just invest in another computer. Any advice is welcomed.

Processor: AMD E-300 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics 1.30GHz

Your system is with 1.3GHz VISION Technology with AMD Dual-Core E-300 Accelerated Processor.

Here is some information on this processor:

TypeCPU / Microprocessor
Market segmentMobile
FamilyAMD E-Series
Model numberE-300
CPU part numberEME300GBB22GV is an OEM/tray microprocessor
Frequency1300 MHz
Clock multiplier6.5
Package413-ball lidless micro-BGA (FT1)
SocketBGA413
Size0.75" x 0.75" / 1.9cm x 1.9cm

BGA processors, like this one, are soldered on a motherboard, as a result, upgrading or replacing them is extremely difficult.

However, if you want to, here are the tested processors on this motherboard:

Model Cores /Threads Freq. Turbofreq. L2cache TDP Features
AMD E-Series family, BGA413
   E-Series E-2401 / 11.5 GHz 512 KB18 Watt
   E-Series E-3002 / 21.3 GHz 1 MB18 Watt
   E-Series E-3502 / 21.6 GHz 1 MB18 Watt
   E-Series E-4502 / 21.65 GHz 1 MB18 WattTBT

Here are the total list of processors for the same socket however, I am not fully sure if they will work on this motherboard:
