Hi,
I bought a "HP Pavilion 15-p259ng" Notebook without Windows. I installed Windows 7
64bit on it. Then I istalled the AMD Graphics Driver "sp69351.exe" downloaded
from the HP support site. Since then the Video Card AMD Radeon R7 M260 has been
reporting "driver stopped because error occurred (code 43)" continuosly.
I tried to update also the other GPU (AMD Radeon R6 integrated on the main CPU)
with the same driver. This GPU is called "standard VGA video card" in the Device
Manager, and it has originally a Microsoft driver istalled, but the update was
not possible, because on triing to update it by setting the path of the new
driver (inluding subfolders) in the "Update driver" option of the Device Manager
it sent the message "The driver is up to date" and didn´t accept the updating
(strangely enough because the date of the used Microsoft driver is much older
(06.21.2006) than that of the AMD driver I tried to install (06.05.2014).
Although uninstalling the old Microsoft driver is possible, the problem with it
is that the uninstalling requires a reboot and on rebooting the old driver will
be installed again automatically without asking for confirmation from the user.
So I get back to my starting point.
Besides I see a PCI Device with no driver in the "Other Devices" group in the
Device Manager.I don't know if it can be in connection with the problem, but I
don't know either where I could get the appropriate driver for it.
The Hardware ID of if it is the following:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&SUBSYS_2263103C&REV_01
Has anyone an idea how the driver for the onchip Radeon R6 could be updated or
any other idea to solve the problem?
Many thanks
Fodi

Hi @Fodi
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Ok, I understand that you are trying to install drivers for your graphics adapter and the one built in to your cpu.
In reality you do not need to install the separate drivers. It is covered by the main driver for your graphics adapter when there is both an integrated and discrete gpu.
As to the Error 43 - please see this page: Expand Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
Since you have tried several times you may need to remove both drivers and restart the system and let the os find the built-in graphics, before installing the driver for the AMD device.
All the various drivers for this notebook that have been HP customized can be found here:

Thank you very much for your answer.
I installed the following driver that solved the graphics problem :smileyhappy::
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/latest-catalyst-windows-beta.aspx
The device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229 is a Realtek Card Reader 5229.
It works with the following drivers:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56545.exe
or
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63708.exe
Best Regards
Fodi
