I have seen quite a few report laptop replacements and repairs and the issue still repeating.
It could possibly be a driver or compactibility issue with the new 6th gen processors.
Proabably if Microsoft + Intel + HP could communicate we could see a solution soon. But thats being very optimistic.

I also believe this seems to be driver issue.
However, HP response is hardly the best. They could at least acknowledge the issue... or inform that it's being analised.
Worse than that: these laptops are still being sold. This will lower the confidence of customers in HP products.
Quality control really messed up this time.

i don't think that this is a microsoft problem, but i could be wrong, i think that this is a parts issue, that needs to be resolved, microsoft is just reporting the problem, HP and Intel need to sit down and try and figure out why this issue is happening and how to solve it.

i think that research & development and quality control totally messed up at HP, and they need to admit there is an issue and fix it, but by admitting and issue, will mean big costs on either HP or Intel balance sheet

PS; I just bought an Alfa awus036h USB wifi adapter and it is quite amazing, I am picking up signals seemingly like 3 miles away... But the wifi in the shop here doesn't need that kind of range. It's hard to imagine given how well this USB wifi adapter works that realtek would stamp out a bunk product? I can't say much negative about Alfa after using their USB product.

I guess a consumer revolution is needed. By suggesting people to buy other brands!.
I see a lot of questions based on Wifi coming in the forum.
Asking them if they can find the same warnings in the event viewer.
Very annoying and bad experiences so far. Browser freezes, all of them all the time.
My other Dell laptop has taken a beating and works like a space rocket.

Guys, call support and open a ticket. You could, eventually, have to send the laptop to repair, but this is how it should be done.
And please don't go out and buy external wifi adapters as a workaround. You'll end out wasting money for a faulty "component" (more like a faulty driver).
If it doesn't work, return it or call support.
