I am looking at the HP-Envy-Touchscreen-17-k073ca. Not sure if it even has the same design. Does this model also support two hard drives allong with an optical drive?

This is a link to a how to that does not look at all like the PDF you pointed to.

I have envy dv7 and it has two hd slots, but interestingly there no cables to connect anymore (older hp 17 latops had cables). I was told by support, if your laptop did not come with two hds, you will have to add cables yourself...

Looking at the site you referenced where we can buy the kit for adding a second drive, they say that the K series Envy 17 does not have a second drive bay and that you would have to use the optical drive caddy. Can anyone confirm that?

Also does anyone know which series of the HP Envy 17 is being sold by Costco in Nov 2015? I asked customer support at Costco and they don't know what models they sell! 😞
