Windows 8 Blue screen errors

Hello, I have some troubles with Windows... First I hade the 0cx000000f error, wich did not allow me to boot windows, and wich I fixed formating my computer and reinstalling windows (actually I installed a download version of windows wich I activated with my personal Product Key). It seemed done for the first times, but then I restarted computer and I got another blue screen, the "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME"... I have tried hard to fix this, but the onl thing I can do is formatting my pc again and reinstall Windows 8, but when I restart error comes back. When error is affecting PC I can't even boot Windows 8 DVD... Please someone help me...

First step to try is to run Windows updates. If that doesnt resolve the issue then capture the Bluescreen error, search in microsoft.com for an patch (kb*******), If that dosnt resolve then Windows Reset, else System Recovery.

Hi! I actually can't run Reset 'cause I am unable to run safe mode.. What I can try is to use HP System Recovery from a DVD.. Is there a way to have it on a DVD? Maybe by an ISO file? 

I have also installed Ubuntu on my Laptop aiming to try a fix from it, do you know anything that could be useful?

Scuse, I don't think I can fix it by there, because my error is in the boot part of my hard drive.. And even if I reinstall the system after formatting the error affects the hard drive again.. I am using legacy support to boot bacuse if I boot with secure boot I get the F30 Error, wich says that no system is installed in my HDD.. My BIOS is upgraded to the last version but my OS is Windows 8 (first version), maybe I should upgrade to Win 8.1, u think it worths a try?

Sorry I meant 3F0 error.. By the way I made DST short test for my hard drive and its result was "warning", and long DST got a fail...

The only thing that lets the puzzle uncomplete in my mind is why Ubuntu (and also Windows though just before I restart it) let me use Hard Drive like there was no problem.. That's why I thought that maybe my BIOS version (the 25th) is not compatible with the first version of Windows 8 (the one I installed).. Or maybe I could try a Hard Disk reset but can just do it from GParted's terminal because I am not so briliant with Ubuntu and I'm unable to use Safe Modes or things like that.. HP Recovery Disk is able to reset the HDD?

Another thing that I forgot to say is that to fix the first issue and reinstall windows I had to convert my Hard Disk from a GPT format to a MBR format.. Can it tell you something?

Hey! It seems like I fixed this! Now I am writing about it so if somone had the same issue can try to fix it this way. It seems like I was right to think that BIOS and OS weren't compatible...

To fix the error I followed this steps:

1. I went to BIOS and disabled secure boot to enable legacy support..( F10>System Configuration>Boot Options...)

2. I used a bootable software, Gparted, making it start pressing F9 and then Internal DVD, and I formatted all my HDD volumes, then I deleted all volumes to have just one volume left..

3. I used the Windows 8.1 DVD to run "Recovery System" and then used prompt to convert my HDD to GPT - Recovery>Troubleshoot>Advanced>Prompt>(then write the following comands..) diskpart>select volume "your own volume number">clean>convert gpt... (the mistake I made before is that I tried to install win 8 wich can be installed only on an MBR HDD but needs a GPT HDD to run fine, and I was trapped into MBR format somehow before)

4. I installed Windows 8.1 (from DVD) and my PC Drivers and it now seems to work fine, though I am still unable to use secure boot even if UEFI is installed, but that doesn't matter that much...

At least the error was the uncompatibility between the OS (win 😎 and the latest BIOS (25th version) and the wrong HDD format (MBR) that I used in order to install Windows 8, system that was evidently too old for the BIOS version..
