There must be a language barrier here.
No. I didn't agree with a random post. It confirms what I'm telling. {Content Removed}

I'm sorry. I didn't want to insult you. I got angry for a very short time after I saw what you had posted. 😞

@ASIITGuy wrote:You know, looking into Dell. They didn't seem to have the drivers for Windows 8 niether. But then again, they're further behind than HP is.
I actually made the Lenovo drivers work for us, but it was at the cost of only using fixed mode, and the control center didn't work. I also had to disable WIndows 8 DSE.

What the tech was trying to say was HP should be getting inrfomation from Microsoft on based lined drivers along with the Microsoft ceritfied rules for driver customization and creation based on the OS kernal desgin.
Without this infromation none of the developer or OEM will be able to develop there driver or customize the drivers.
MS should have released the information to OEM and it could take time untill there is a OEM based Windows 8 released by HP.
HP has selected only few based currently models to support Windows 8 drivers. We all have to wait for it.

Don't make excuses for them. The needed information has been out there for a year already. HP dragging their feet is not due to anything Microsoft has done or not done.

Other vendors could have released the dirver but it could have not gone through Microsoft Driver stablity testing and certification. All have to understand it is an RTM release and OEM could have got the RTM on the same day as you do. We have to let them understand the OS kernal desging of Windows 8 and develop the customization according to MS standard.
Hope this information helps . I had to collect this information has we were looking for HP drivers for Windows.

I promise you, they are WHQL signed from other vendors, who have released for RTM. I know this because RTM Windows 8 won't accept non-signed drivers out of the box without system modifications that no OEM would support. Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE) is very large and in charge with Windows 8.

Thanks a million Adrynalyne for your support ...
I agree with what you wrote, HP have no excuses, and just to confirm the bad position of HP, I've read somewhere on the forum that customers wrote to Microsoft and the AMD guys and both replied that it's the responsibilities of the manufacturers like hp and others to develop such drivers that are specific to their products. and that definitely means that HP had all the information it needed to develop such drivers ages ago.
I don't really think the consumer version of windows 8 was for the major manfacturers like HP, dell , toshiba ...etc. I'm pretty sure that they had an earlier version to start working on the drivers and compatibilities and all ...
and the consumer version of windows 8 for casual developers and intrigued users ...

I am not making any excuse on behalf of them even I am waiting for drivers from HP for Windows 8. I have 50000 PC's different models of laptop and desktop wait for it.
All I am saying what has been conveyed to me. As per the statement the drivers will be released for supported models after 30-60 days of OS launch.
The reason for me to be in the forum today was to find out about the drivers . I m not favouring HP or Microsoft but the truth is there is nothing much we can do abt it .....

I agree, but not voicing our disagreements isn't the answer either. Companies need feedback. The more expsoure this gets, the better. Right now, that is the goal of this thread. Get exposure, and keep HP aware that their customers are ANGRY.
