Post the information about your Intel driver. Version, provider and signer.

I wouldn't be surprised if you are using an Intel driver provided by Leshcat.

Brightness control work, switchable graphics work, games work fine, if i get BSOD oh well, this is the best offered so far, and i have access both to catalyst and intel options

Same question to you as for the poster before:

I'm using the Intel driver provided by MS.

Details:

Intel(R) HD Graphics (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

Driver Provider: Intel Corporation

Driver Date: 3/24/2012

Driver Version: 8.15.10.2702.

Digital Signer: Microsoft WIndows

Well good to know it works for some. It definitely does not work for everyone, myself included.

If I was to wager a guess, its the older devices this will work for.

Just curious, did your brightness controls work before the AMD driver install?

HP Recommended

Intel drivers info :

Intel HD Graphics 3000

publisher AMD

date 15/8/2012

driver version 9.0.0.0.

also the same info for 6490m radeon!

yes screen brightness worked prior installing AMD drivers, Windows installed Intel Graphics Control Panel automaticly (or it was taken from Windows Update) im not sure.

Ok.  Then the Intel provided dirvers are not working right for the 7690M on the HP Envy.  I think I got a flashburn on my face from the lack of brightness control.

Do you know if your onboard Intel is second gen or third gen?

Are you using Fixed or Dynamic mode?

HP Recommended

I am not sure about 2nd or 3rd gen, and have no clue about fixed or dinamyc mode. how can i check that? enlighten me please 🙂
