Hi Skynetz!

Did you experience any problem with softpaq sp55092 ? You can install it on windows 8 setting windows 7 compatibility from the properties of the setup.

Apparently, it's not that easy to find drivers completely compatible with hp laptop with switchable graphics.
Anyhow you can give leshcat's a try leshcatlabs.net (install the last stable ones)

It's important to do a clean installation of drivers, so you should refer to http://leshcatlabs.net/manual/ ->
Cleanup instructions, if you want to do it correctly.

Hi Isabela! Are you sure your pc has switchable graphics? Otherwise this might be the wrong thread.

However you can try to install in win8 the drivers that worked with your previous os, setting retro-compatibility (for example windows 7 compatibility)

Hello

I want to know something about Windows 8.1 . Is Ad-Hoc network creation back or is there some sort of wi-fi hotspot feature?

berlen, did you find how to fix the flickering?? same thing is happening to me, I have a dv7-4277nr,  Intel Core i5 M 480 + ATI Mobility Radeon  HD 6370m.

Hi, JeikR! Unfortunately no, I did not manage to find a solution the flickering.

This issue has been reported by amd itself (here: http://sites.amd.com/us/microsoft/windows-8/Pages/radeon-windows-8.aspx)

"During the course of operating a GPU, users may have noticed their screen flickering when performing such tasks as: installing a new GPU driver, switching from integrated to discrete graphics, or exiting sleep/hibernate to resume the desktop experience.

Thanks to WDDM 1.2, the AMD Catalyst™ graphics driver may now be smoothly transitioned from one component of the OS to another, which will reduce or eliminate monitor blanking in these scenarios."

However as I said, I cannot update drivers because this causes serious overheating problems.

So, at this point, I think there is no solution for my laptop.

Perhaps you're luckier and you are able to install up-to-date drivers without issues.
You can try leshcat drivers (the last stable version is 13.4 http://leshcatlabs.net/2013/05/01/leshcats-catalyst-13-4-whql-unifl-v2-for-amdintel-powered-laptops/...

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 3023ca with Windows 8.1 which has swithable graphics:

Mobility ATI Radeon HD 4200

and

Mobility ATI Radeon HD 5650

The 4200 works, but the 5650 never works, and it doesn't try to switch.

I get a yellow warning sign where the 5650 is on Device Manager.

How did you get the correct driver for your laptop for Windows 8?

I have HP dm3-2015er (HD4225 & HD5430) and I use only HD4225 for Windows 8. I cannot configure the switchable graphics.

I have Hp ultrabook 4 - 1114tx with Intel Hd 4000 and Radeon Hd 7670m.
cannot configure the switchable graphics. I play Dirt 2 & 3, if i use Hd 4000, no problem. Its ok, i can play with low performance (power saving config on CCC).
But with High performance on CCC , game dont work.
I 've tried with other games, same problem. 😞
Hp supporters! Fix it Please!!
