Auto detect ONLY works if you are still using the system that came installed on your machine, other wise it doesn't, you have to manually look for the updates than.
When I upgraded my W7 home premium that was on this laptop to W8 Pro it no longer is seen by HP servers auto upate/
===========
side note, I think the last graphics update (SP59850) will still work going from W8 to W8.1 Although I'd like to see a more updated driver, but I'm not holding my breath.

AMD does NOT support these "manufacturer" Radeon cards, that auto detect tool from AMD will ONLY work for "brand" name Radeon cards, not these re branded things from HP or any maker.
I tried running this tool several times, and it always comes back I have a non supported card, have been round and round with AMD and HP on this for months way back when, see my many prior posts.
Enduro was supposed to be the "fix" for that back when, it was going to be like the NVIDIA Optimus driver for their Gforce cards, but it never turned out that way,
Because these are "switchable" graphics, you also need the right Intel driver or you loose that function on one or the other cards. So you also need to be able ti install the latest Intel gpu driver for your system.
This has been nothing short of a mess for both HP and AMD, it has given NVIDIA and Gforce a huge leg up I for one will never again own anything with a Radeon/Intel switchable mix.

yes of course it will say that because your using the driver update from with in windows right? probably on the driver properties from device manager.
This does NOT go looking for a driver from AMD, its just seeing that you have the latest system driver installed.
I'm not going any further than that on this.
