Today I did a clean install of Windows 7 on this laptop and I cannot connect to the internet through wifi. When troubleshooting I get this message:

Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter
Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, the drivers for the adapter may not be installed correctly.

Do I need all the network drivers?

Thank you Paul, especially for being so prompt.

I am not very confident with Windows - is it as simple as copying these .exe files to the laptop and running them?

Thanks again.

Edwin

You're very welcome, Edwin:

Yes, download and double click on each file to run it.

The files are auto install files which will automatically install the drivers you need.

Just follow the on screen instructions when the installation window appears after running the file.

You will have to download the files to another PC, copy them to a usb flash drive or CD and use either media to install on the PC needing the drivers.

If you use a USB flash drive, make sure you plug it into a usb 2 port.

If you are able, I have a related question about other missing drivers - should I download these or will they update automatically now I am online?

Wonderful, that's worked perfectly.

Thank you very much again Paul, this laptop is for my mum (currently running XP on a machine over 10 years old) so she is very grateful - she says thank you and happy christmas.
