I just buy a HP Elitebook 8560w.

This morning, I turn on my book, and I have a message:

Wireless Module not supported
The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported and disabled it
WLAN Module ID (702)

For more information, please visit: www.hp.com\go\techcenter\startup

As I know, my book have Intel Centrino 6205 wlan card, and this card is supported by HP BIOS.

My BIOS version is F.03. I tried downgrade BIOS to F.02 and F.01 but still have this problem.

Try to reinstall windows (windows 7 x64) and nothing change.

Need help please.

@you notebook BIOS supports the Intel Centrino @advanced-N 6205, Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 and the Atheros 802.11 a/g/n WLAN modules. The Centrino 6250 WLAN moduleis not supported by the BIOS.

I suggest that you contact HP ASAP for warranty service.

Hi,

Perhaps since you updated the BIOS you might need to go into it and set the Built-in device options. I mean as in the image below. The image is from a BIOS simulator using a preproduction BIOS and may not reflect exactly what you see when you invoke the BIOS.

Kind regards,

My setting exact like your screenshot.

I checked in HP Support Assistant-> General Specifications tab

It's show my System BIOS is: 68SVD ver F.03

In HP link (Here), I see this description in F.01, F.02 and F.03

"This package creates files that contain an image of the System BIOS (ROM)for the supported notebook models with a 68SAD Family ROM"

68SAD and 68SVD???

Maybe HP provide wrong version BIOS. Or problem in my notebook?

Please help.

Anyone have 68SVD version BIOS. Please upload it  so I can try 😞

Anyway, I can't find HP support email for Elitebook 8560w (can't find this product)

HP Recommended

Please verify that by invoking BIOS (F10 on powering on)

Here is a link to web suport portal for Elitebook  8560w.
